Showers Over The Olgas., Terry Everson

Normally bathed in sunlight it is rare indeed to find showers over the Olgas. Known to the indigenous people as Kata Tjuta it was named Mt.Olga by explorer Earnest Giles after the Queen of Spain. Along with its more illustrious neighbour, Uluru, it forms part of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. For the intrepid hiker there is a superb walk through what is known as The Valley Of The Winds. For the less inclined there is a short walk up Olga Gorge.
