Turon Crossing, Terry Everson
The Turon River in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales is synonomous with the earliest discovery of gold in Australia. The nearby historic town of Sofala was the first settlement on the Turon and was a hive of activity in the 1850`s as miners converged on the area in search of the precious metal.
