Byron Bay Lighthouse, Terry Everson
Standing on the most easterly point of the Australian mainland, it is thought that the lighthouse would be touched by the first rays of the morning sun but because of its height, it is Mt Warning, named by Captain James Cook, a little to the west that receives the first light of day.
